DISCUSSION: How do you define love?

love21 Corinthians 13 in the Bible is considered the love chapter. It defines love this way:

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Another source says, “Love means never having to say I’m sorry.” Everyone has their own “love language.” We all have an image of what love is (or what love is NOT), whether it is spoken or unspoken.  That definition determines if we feel loved or not as well as how we give and receive it.

So the question is, how do you define love? Which definition in 1 Corinthians 13 resonates with you? I want to hear from you. Please leave your comments below.
